Why this was built — and for whom.

The Congressional Black Caucus's May 26 letter to corporate America is the kind of outreach that creates a lot of follow-up work for a small number of staff. Three asks, 413 recipients, a public deadline, allied caucuses to coordinate with, and the steady drumbeat of press, floor remarks, social, and constituent communications that need to go out in response. Without a coordinated workspace, that work fragments across offices.

What the letter actually asks.

The May 26 letter follows the Supreme Court's 2025 ruling in Louisiana v. Callais — the latest in a series of decisions weakening the Voting Rights Act. State legislatures in priority states have continued to advance restrictive bills, often funded by the same corporate PACs that publicly signed a 2021 voting-rights statement. The Caucus's letter puts three specific questions to every named recipient:
